MindLenses in Multiple Sclerosis rehabilitation – An exploratory study

dott.ssa Elena Piazzalunga presenta studio clinico con MindLenses

From 10 to 12 April 2025, the XXIV S.I.R.N. National Congress took place in Parma, entitled “Feeding the brain, healing the planet”. The program hosted numerous scientific interventions aimed at exploring issues related to brain health, correlated with the well-being of the person in his complex uniqueness.

In this context, our medical device MindLenses Professional was the subject of a speech by Elena Piazzalunga, a PhD student at our research partner IRCCS Ospedale San Camillo, entitled “Investigating the effects of a short cycle of cognitive rehabilitation in patients with Multiple Sclerosis: an exploratory study“.

The subject of the presentation were the results of an exploratory study carried out in collaboration with the IUSS of Pavia and aimed at exploring the application of a cognitive training composed of shorter sessions than those traditionally carried out in patients with Multiple Sclerosis. Usually, such prolonged rehabilitation cycles are poorly tolerated by people with Multiple Sclerosis. The objective of this study is also exploring the effects of the cognitive training realised with MindLenses Professional, our rehabilitation device that combines Prismatic Adaptation and Serious Games on tablets.

Further in-depth studies are needed to confirm the differences in efficacy of treatment with MindLenses in patients with Multiple Sclerosis compared to longer standard treatments, but the first results are promising. Patients who completed the training with MindLenses showed significant improvements in executive functions and verbal and visuo-spatial memory.
